VCSE/Voluntary Sector Influence and Participation Project Board

Applications to join the Project Board of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough’s Voluntary Sector Mental Health, Learning Disability and Autism initiative 2023-2025 are now open.

Do you want to play a key role in increasing the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector’s contribution to, and integration with, our local Integrated Care System (ICS)? In collaboration with the Health Alliance, our driving purpose will be to contribute to improving the lives of people living with mental health conditions, have a learning disability and are neurodiverse.

If the answer is yes and you’re a leader of constituted voluntary and community sector organisations, who is also well networked and collaborative – we need you. If you’re passionate about increasing representation and influence, then there’s an exciting opportunity to join Cambridgeshire and Peterborough’s new Voluntary Sector Influence and Participation Project Board.

This Project Board will feed in directly to the Mental Health, Learning Disability and Autism Partnership (MHLDAP) and will enhance the greater voluntary sector’s influence and participation across our Integrated Care System; from neighbourhood, through Place (North and South) and up to the Integrated Care Board.

What is the aim for this role?

Our role in Influencing and Participation, we will identify strategic themes for Influence, Participation and Collaboration together with the Integrated Care Board and partner organisations, by:

  • Contributing to the evidence base and co-production of new local Mental Health, Learning Disability and Neurodiversity strategies and pathways.

  • Recognising and seeking to address community, environmental and societal risks emerging and increasing across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

  • Identifying demographic population shifts and related diversity, accessibility and inclusivity challenges and opportunities to meet more people’s needs.

  • Balancing parity of profile, influence and participation of VCSE organisations across our local neurodiversity, learning disability and mental health sectors.
