CPSL Mind and Peterborough United are #OnYourSide

CPSL Mind and Peterborough United Football Club have teamed up to raise awareness and funds for local mental health services as part of the national Mind and English Football League (EFL) #OnYourSide partnership.

CPSL Mind and Peterborough United Football Club have teamed up to raise awareness and funds for local mental health services as part of the national Mind and English Football League (EFL) #OnYourSide partnership.

On Saturday 29th January, our volunteers headed down to Peterborough United’s home game at the Weston Homes Stadium against Rotherham United to promote positive mental health and hold a bucket collection for over 7,000 supporters in attendance.

Using the power of football, the #OnYourSide partnership aims to improve the approach to mental health in football through fundraising, delivering training to clubs and campaigning. The latest campaign, ‘Have Your Mate’s Back’, asks fans to look out for their friends and check on their mental health. As a demonstration of support, everyone in the football community is encouraged to wear their football shirt backwards, drawing attention to the Mind logo which appears on all EFL club shirts this season.

On Saturday 29th February we will be attending Cambridge United Football Club’s home game with Carlisle United to support our other local EFL team.

If you’re interested in joining us to raise awareness and funds for local mental health services and attend the match free of charge then please get in touch by emailing: campaigns@cpslmind.org.uk
