Bourne local, Nathan Reeves, will not be sitting still for long this month as he attempts to do 3000 sits ups and 3000 push ups throughout February to regain his fitness and raise funds.

This month-long burst of energy is in aid of promoting positive mental health and raising funds for us, a cause close to Nathan’s heart, after losing friends to suicide and knowing others with mental health challenges.

Speaking about his fitness drive, Nathan says, “I’m hoping to raise £200 for CPSL Mind and £200 for Endometriosis UK. I have decided to not only get back into fitness and to challenge myself physically, but also to raise that valuable awareness of both these charities and to enable people to get talking and hopefully end stigma around them”

Rachel Lawrence, our Community Fundraiser said, “We are proud of Nathan and his quest to help others and raise awareness. The Covid-19 pandemic has affected people’s mental wellbeing in many different ways and, in response to the increased levels of anxiety, isolation and loneliness, we adapted our existing services – and developed new ones. With demand for our services still remaining high we are extremely grateful to Nathan for highlighting the importance of being active whilst helping others.”
