Our training income helps support funding the work of our charity and helping people recovering from mental health challenges and the wider community to live well.

Communication is key in supporting people with their mental health, especially when they are in distress. As well as providing information to develop your awareness of mental health challenges such as stress and low mood, this course will enable you to build trust with people on calls and provide you with some techniques that can empower those who you are supporting to prioritise their own wellbeing.

This is a two-day Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) course. Become a certified Mental Health First Aider (MHFAider®) with CPSL Mind and gain the confidence to support others.

MHFA provides attendees with the skills to:

1. Recognise the signs of poor mental health

2. Have the confidence to start a conversation

3. Create an action plan

4. Know where to signpost for further support

This workshop will equip you with the knowledge to spot warning signs, ask directly about suicide, support someone to stay safe and look after your own wellbeing.

This talk will provide you with an overview of how to identify a person at risk of suicide, talk openly about suicide and help a person at risk to stay safe. Importantly, you will also be equipped to look after your own wellbeing.

Mental health first aid

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA®) develops over time and it is important that first aiders update their training every three years to perform their role safely and effectively.

This course will update your knowledge of mental health support and refresh your skills to ensure you’re equipped for the role. Additionally, you’ll gain unlimited access to support, learning, online events, digital tools through the MHFAider® Support App® for 3 years.
