Dee's story
Dee, who left her hometown in the Philippines in 2017, now lives in St Neots, Cambridgeshire.
Having experienced a difficult period in her life relating to family challenges and difficulties with her businesses, Dee is choosing to speak openly about when she experienced suicidal thoughts in the hope it will offer other people hope that your life can improve.
Our 2026 STOP Suicide Campaign key message is: One conversation can save a life. Dee’s story is a timely reminder of how one conversation can help someone choose to live.

Gary's story
Gary worked as a Prison Officer for over 30 years and has become a highly respected mental health advocate in Cambridgeshire, having openly shared about his own mental health challenges. Over the years, he has helped to support the wellbeing of local people and opened the Andy’s Man Club group in Huntingdon. He now supports dads across Cambridgeshire in his Perinatal Project Dads Worker role at CPSL Mind.
Becky's story
Becky Milner’s story is one of resilience, hope and inspiration. A nurse who survived a life-threatening mental health crisis, she ran the TTP Cambridge Half Marathon to raise awareness and break stigma.
Liam's story
From lived experience to creating lasting change, Liam Baker continues to use fitness and community to spark important conversations around mental health. Through Together We Lift, he is helping people connect, opening up spaces for support, and raising vital funds for CPSL Mind.
