This year marks a huge milestone for CPSL Mind.
An incredible 125 runners are taking on the TTP Cambridge Half Marathon for us, our biggest ever team at this event. That’s 125 people choosing to lace up their trainers, push through 13.1 miles, and raise vital funds to support mental health in our community.
Why This Matters
Every pound raised helps us continue providing life-changing mental health support across Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and South Lincolnshire.
Fundraising enables us to:
- Offer free mental health services to those in need
- Provide community-based support so people don’t face challenges alone
- Deliver early intervention to prevent crises
- Reach more people who might otherwise struggle in silence
Demand for mental health support has never been higher. The funds raised by our runners help ensure that when someone reaches out, we’re there to respond. Quite simply: fundraising helps us to support people in our communities.
Running for a Reason
Among our 125 runners are three familiar faces from the CPSL Mind team — colleagues who work every day to make a difference and are now going the extra mile (literally).
Olivia Hubbard
Communications and Engagement Manager
“I see every day how powerful our work is; the stories of people who’ve found hope, connection and practical support through CPSL Mind. Running the Cambridge Half is my way of standing behind those stories. If I can push through 13.1 miles, knowing it helps even one more person access support, it’s completely worth it.”
Alex Parker-Wiseman
Fundraising and Events Manager
“I talk to our incredible supporters all the time about the difference fundraising makes and now I get to experience it from the other side. Every donation isn’t just a number; it’s providing essential services to those in need and making a real difference. That’s what’s carrying me to the finish line.”
Lisa Thomas
Mental Health Community Connector Service Co-ordinator
“In my role, I meet people at some of the most challenging points in their lives. Having somewhere safe to turn can change everything. I see first-hand how essential our services are, and the community we build together truly saves lives so I’m so proud to be part of the CPSL Mind team as an employee and as a fundraiser.”
125 People, 1 Shared Purpose
Each of our runners has their own reason for taking part — in memory of someone, for their own mental health journey, to support a friend or family member, or simply because they believe everyone deserves access to support.
Together, they represent 125 individual stories, 125 commitments, 125 powerful acts of kindness. And collectively, they’re helping ensure that no one in our community has to face a mental health challenge alone.
