Connect To Work Access and Inclusion Worker

  • Based in the community, working in East and South Cambridgeshire, with hybrid working option
  • 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, start and finish times will be variable in accordance with the needs of the organisation.
  • Scale point 15 £27,113.00 per annum

The successful applicant will have specific duties and responsibilities as detailed below:

Stakeholder and Community Relationships:

  • Build high quality relationships and connections with a wide range of stakeholders and community partners at a ground level, including Neighbourhood teams, voluntary sector organisations, community groups and businesses
  • Engage employers to support individuals to stay in work and create job opportunities
  • Represent CPSL Mind and the wider organisation at a wide range of stakeholder and community events, promoting and building awareness of the Connect to Work programme

Access:

  • Meet ambitious access number targets, driving equitable access and targeting areas of underrepresentation
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of CPSL Mind services and other local service providers and community groups
  • Work closely with broader CPSL Mind teams, including the Economic Inclusion team

Monitoring and Evaluation:

  • Support the collection of data and impact stories required for reporting against key performance indicators.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date records.

Essential Criteria for this role:

  • Stakeholder engagement: Ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders with understanding in relation to their unique challenges and needs.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to adjust communication style to the relevant audience
  • Problem Solving: Proactive approach to identifying solutions and overcoming barriers.
  • Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational and time management skills, with ability to manage conflicting priorities.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt strategies and approaches when assessing individual needs and circumstances.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively and build strong professional relationships with a diverse range or stakeholders, including individuals, employers and healthcare providers.
  • Qualification: Mathematics and English (Minimum GCSE level 4 or equivalent)
  • Excellence in the use of Microsoft 365 applications including, Sharepoint, Excel and Word.

  • Understanding of local area / providers / groups and organisations
  • Understanding of employment legislation and welfare/benefits
  • Understanding of risk management and protection of vulnerable adults.
