CPSL Mind was delighted when the RCCG City of David chose them as one of their charities to support in 2019 and raised an amazing £1,000.

The money was raised from the profits of the LIGHT Cambridge Festival, which was held on Saturday 23rd June at Parkers Piece in Cambridge. Drawing on gifted gospel and inspirational artistes from within the community as well as from a regional and national level, the event was a fantastic success, attended by over 500 people.

Senior Pastor Idris Kolade Oyinlade said, “We are so happy to be supporting a local charity which helps people who are struggling with their mental health. One in four of us at any one time in the year will experience a diagnosable mental health condition. It is important that we talk more about our mental health and encourage people within our communities to seek help if they are struggling with depression or finding it hard to cope with life. We hope this money will help local people in their recovery from mental health problems.”

Zoe Doherty, Fundraiser for CPSL Mind said, “We are extremely thankful to RCCG City of David Church for raising this amazing amount of money and for raising awareness of mental health within their church. This money will be used to fund vital services such as our Sanctuary service which helps people in mental health crisis every evening between 6pm – 1am. A huge thank to everyone from the church who was involved.”
