Stop Smoking Specialist Support

We all cope with challenges differently. For some, smoking becomes a way to manage difficult feelings or get through the day.

This pilot, funded by Cambridgeshire County Council, is delivered by a dedicated CPSL Mind team. Our goal is to help people quit smoking while maintaining good mental health, improving physical health, and achieving financial benefits.

How we help

  • Flexible, personalised stop smoking support for individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
  • Financial incentives for achieving key milestones: £10 for setting a quit date, and £20 at 4 weeks, 12 weeks, 6 months, and 12 months once quit status is confirmed by a carbon monoxide (CO) reading.
  • Guidance on the Government-led Swap to Stop scheme, with the option to receive a free vape.
  • Cut Down to Stop pathway for those who wish to gradually reduce smoking before quitting.
  • Medication options to help manage cravings and withdrawal.
  • Person-centred behaviour change techniques with holistic, trauma-informed support.
