Our Peer Support Groups
The opportunity to share experience and support with others who have lived experience can have huge benefits.
We currently offer three peer support groups from various locations across the county.
Wellbeing peer support
Offered in Cambridge, Huntingdon and St Neots, facilitated by staff.
A six month support group aimed at helping people to make positive changes to recover their life and wellbeing. Based on five steps to wellbeing, the programme provides a safe and confidential space for group members to discuss the different aspects of managing wellbeing. These are five steps to wellbeing: Connect, Be active, Take notice, Keep learning and Give.
Bridging the gap
Available in Cambridge, St Neots, Huntingdon, Ely and Peterborough, facilitated by a volunteer with lived experience and a staff member.
A fortnightly group which supports people living with a diagnosis of Personality Disorder. People are invited to attend the group for 18 months where they can gain peer support, learn new ideas and develop insight into their diagnosis. The group supports people to focus on coping skills and strategies to deal with difficult feelings and situations.
Available in Huntingdon, facilitated by a volunteer with lived experience along with a staff member.
A fortnightly group which supports people living with hearing voices. People are invited to attend the group indefinitely where they can gain peer support, learn new ideas and develop insight into their experiences.
