Due to the current coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, there have been changes made to a number of services. Please visit our dedicated webpage to find out how this service has been affected.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Service
Our Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) service provides short term therapeutic-based interventions for residents of Huntingdonshire and Fenland who are going through difficult times, including up to six sessions of one-to-one low intensity CBT and guided self-help. Our Wellbeing Workers can also refer individuals on to employment support, counselling services or high intensity therapists as appropriate.
CBT is a Department of Health project designed to make evidence-based psychological therapies more accessible to people living with mental health problems such as depression and anxiety disorders.
You can self-refer to this service or, alternatively, referrals can be made by your GP, via the local mental health Advice and Referral Centre (ARC), The GP Gateway worker, an CBT worker or the Richmond Fellowship service.
