Social Care Strategy for Adults with Mental Health Needs 2015-2018

Tuesday 23 June 2015

I would like to draw your attention to the consultation on the draft Social Care Strategy for Adults with Mental Health Needs 2015-2018.

The strategy sets out how the Council will deliver social care services to adults with mental health needs in the next 3 years. The strategy is about the social care aspect of support for people with mental health needs rather than treatment services. The links between this social care strategy and the public mental health strategy are articulated in the document.

A wide range of stakeholders, including service users, carers of people with mental health needs and professionals have been consulted during the development of the draft strategy, and it is now being consulted on more widely.

Below is a link to the consultation page on the County Council website where you will find a copy of the draft strategy and a link to the consultation survey. The consultation is open until Friday 24th July. Please contribute your views and circulate this link as you see appropriate.
