Sarah Hughes to move on as CEO of Mind in Cambs

After 13 years as CEO at Mind in Cambs (MiC), we congratulate Sarah Hughes on her new appointment as Chief Executive at the Centre for Mental Health – and Aly Anderson who will be taking over as MiC’s interim CEO from January 2017.

Deborah McGovern, Chair of Trustees at Mind in Cambs, said: “Sarah has done a phenomenal job in leading the organisation over the years, seeing it through many different changes and transformations. Without her leadership, Mind in Cambs wouldn’t be the dynamic and successful organisation it is today. While we are very sad to see Sarah go, we wish her the best of luck in her future career and hope she stays in touch!”

Sarah Hughes said: “I am very excited by this opportunity and believe that this is absolutely the right move for me. However, at the same time, I am also readying myself for the enormous sadness of leaving Mind in Cambs and Peterborough and Fenland Mind after so long. The Board of Trustees and I have every faith in Aly, the directors and management team – and in every one of the team for that matter. In terms of the future merging of our two organisations, everything will continue as planned and I am confident that the resulting new organisation will have a very exciting future.”
