Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and South Lincolnshire Mind were very grateful to hear that RAF Wyton Gaming Club had raised £300 towards their services.
To raise the money, the Club held a 24-Hour Game-a-thon, running constant tabletop wargames over the 24-hours, and a great time was had by all. Cpl Ross Wilson, Chairman of the Gaming Club, commented “CPSL Mind was an obvious choice when considering which charity to support. So many people today are affected by mental health problems, and many of our club-members have either experienced mental health issues themselves or know someone close to them who has. We were delighted to fundraise for a local charity who does such important work.”
Zoe Doherty, Fundraiser for CPSL Mind, added “It was lovely that RAF Wyton chose us as their charity to fundraise for. Today, one in four of us at any one time will have a diagnosable mental health condition. All the money from their event will help us continue to provide our much needed services to those who are recovering from mental health challenges. Thank you very much.”
