Mind in Cambridgeshire is a county-wide charity that supports local people in their recovery from mental health issues, promotes wellbeing and campaigns against stigma & discrimination.
To raise the funds, M&S St. Neots carried out a number of events and activities throughout June including a bike ride outside the store, a car boot sale and in store events for staff like quiz nights. The store is also planning on doing further fundraising events for Mind in Cambridgeshire until January 2016.
Dominika Karpowicz, Marketing Co-ordinator at Mind in Cambridgeshire, said: “We are delighted that M&S St. Neots has chosen to donate to us.
“The money raised by M&S St. Neots will go a long way towards supporting our services, which will then continue to help local people recovering from mental health issues.”
Neil Brown, Store Manager at M&S St. Neots, said: “We chose to fundraise for Mind in Cambridgeshire as various staff members have used the services and strongly recommended the charity. We also wanted to choose a local charity that will have an impact on and support local people with mental health challenges.”
