Mind in Cambridgeshire receives fantastic Christmas present as Cambridge Cognition donates £6,866 to the local charity

This year, hi-tech company Cambridge Cognition chose local mental health charity, Mind in Cambridgeshire as their charity to support. The team fundraised tirelessly throughout the year and raised an extremely impressive £6,866!!!

The Cambridge based company comprising of 60 staff organised cake sales, bucket collections, a car wash, a quiz night at the Alma, a British beer night and 12 of their staff fearlessly took on the Three Peaks Challenge, in weather which could only be described as horrendous.

Kristina Cook, Marketing Executive for Cambridge Cognition said, “This is the first year we have run a Charity of the Year programme and we were delighted to choose Mind in Cambridgeshire. With one in four of us at any one time experiencing a mental health problem, the need for their services increases every year. We are extremely proud to be able to donate nearly £7,000 to such an important local organisation.”

Sarah Hughes, CEO for Mind in Cambridgeshire said, “We have been overwhelmed with the support Cambridge Cognition have shown us this year and to raise such an enormous amount of money is truly amazing. This year Mind in Cambridgeshire has provided direct support to over 1,300 local people who are suffering from mental health problems. Next year, we expect to help even more. Cambridge Cognition’s support will enable us to continue to provide our much needed services to those in need and we will continue to campaign against the stigma & discrimination faced by so many people experiencing mental health challenges. On behalf of everyone at Mind in Cambridgeshire, I would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff at Cambridge Cognition who have worked so hard.”
