Changing Lives Talking Therapies
Are you experiencing anxiety or tackling difficult emotions? If so, making a self-referral to access our range of talking therapies could start you on the road to improving your wellbeing.
How we help
Our dedicated team of Changing Lives therapists provide support which has been proven to help people overcome a wide range of difficulties. This includes; learning to better control anxiety, improving how you are feeling, coming to terms with things that have happened in the past, dealing with stressful and difficult situations, improving relationships with other people and finding a way out of depression.
The sessions we offer include counselling and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), both briefly described below, and take place one to one with a Changing Lives therapist or with a group of individuals experiencing similar challenges.
Our counselling sessions focus on giving you the space to share feelings and emotions with our trained therapists who’ll listen and support without judgement or criticism.
This process can help you gain a better understanding of your feelings and thought processes and enable you to find your own solutions to problems.
Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) can help you manage your problems by changing the way you think and behave.
Focusing on current problems, our CBT therapists will guide you on how to change negative patterns to improve the way you feel.

You don’t need to be experiencing severe problems, a diagnosed condition or know which type of therapy would be best suited to meeting your needs. Just complete a referral form, including as much information about the issues you are dealing with as possible, and we will match you with an appropriate therapist.
This service is free of charge to anyone who is registered with a GP surgery in Cambridgeshire or Peterborough.
