Huge thanks to the Centre at St. Paul’s for raising a fantastic £192.20 for Mind in Cambridgeshire. The proceeds come from the Centre’s Robin Williams Film Night on 27 February 2015.

“St. Paul’s has a long history of working with members of the local community who are experiencing a range of mental health issues”, Assistant Manager Alex Collis explained.
“Issues around mental health are such an important part of what we do here, and we wanted to do something to raise awareness — the suicide statistics that have been published recently make for really difficult reading. Donating some money to a local charity, that will offer support to local people experiencing some of these issues, is something we all feel very strongly about. The film night seemed like a good way to do this, and remember somebody (Robin Williams) that brought a lot of joy into a lot of lives at the same time.”

Mind in Cambridgeshire’s Project Co-ordinator for the STOP Suicide campaign, Dominika Karpowicz, said: “We are thrilled that St. Pauls have chosen us as a charity and thank them again for all the hard work that went into organising the event. This donation will ensure we continue to help people within Cambridgeshire who are feeling suicidal and recovering from mental health issues.”
