Specialist support in your community
Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and South Lincolnshire Mind’s Support2Recovery Service (S2R) service is a flexible ‘floating’ support service which supports people who are recovering from a wide range of mental health difficulties.
For most S2R clients, the service is funded by the Social Care Budget. However there are self-funding options (please see Availability panel below)
Support2Recovery is available seven days per week and delivered by a team of highly trained, specialist support workers.
Our focus is to promote recovery and independence.
However, we appreciate that this will mean different things to different people and the service we offer is driven by the specific needs, aims and aspirations of the individual.
Some of the areas in which we currently support our clients include:
- Maintaining and monitoring mental wellbeing
- Maintaining tenancies
- Accessing community resources
- Life/domestic skills
- Emotional support
- Accessing further education & volunteering opportunities
- Work-related issues
- Developing social networks
- Managing finances and benefit claims
- Assisting to attend a variety of meetings
Support2Recovery support is usually funded via the Cambridgeshire County Council’s Social Care budget, which requires approval by the Social Care Lead.
However, our service is also available as a self-funded or privately commissioned service.
Please talk to us if you would like to know more about funding options.
